PERSPECTIVES: Mandie Harding with musical guest Abbie Hullinger

May 24 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Mandie works primarily with the human figure, using painting and drawing to explore vulnerability, strength, and shared human experience. Influenced by classical techniques and contemporary narratives of identity and resilience, her work captures quiet, often overlooked moments through oil, acrylic, charcoal, wood burning, and mixed media. Holding a BFA from the University of Missouri–Columbia and an MA in Teaching from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, Mandie brings a dual perspective as both artist and educator, viewing the creative process as a space for reflection, connection, and continual learning.

TRIGGER WARNING: Some of the art and topics discussed by Mandie include sexual violence, trauma, recovery, and healing.

Abbie Hullinger is a singer songwriter from Lineville, Iowa. Her journey began at only 14 years old, when she was gifted her first Fender. Her sound could be heard from the groove of Northern Iowa radio, down to the song swaps of Nashville, Tennessee. Her music is heavily influenced by rock, country, blues, and soul.
