House Arty: Featuring James Koan III, Christian Dixon and Maya Mikity

House Arty is our community gathering event where we can all come together in a casual house party vibe and listen to amazing music and connect with our artistic community!

James Koan III, a dynamic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Columbus, Georgia. His music blends pop-punk energy, indie rock grit, and folk-infused storytelling—drawing from influences like Switchfoot, Relient K, The Beatles, and The Beach Boys—and delivers songs that explore loneliness, hope, identity, and the sacred. Whether he’s wielding just an acoustic guitar or building layered, atmospheric soundscapes, James brings a heartfelt, uplifting performance that stirs the soul!

We’re bringing Maya Mikity to the Studio to showcase her musical chops! As an emerging artist she has really hit the ground running. Her debut EP has net her over 20K Spotify monthly listeners and she has start showcasing her catalogue all over the midwest.

Opening up the evening will be our friend Christian Dixon. From a young age, Christian was heavily influenced by the lyrics of Switchfoot lead singer Jon Foreman, and he relates closely to the work of Matt Maeson and Noah Kahan. Christian wants his music to be meaningful, introspective, and authentic; he is unafraid to confront heavy subjects in his work like family trauma, loss, doubt, and a longing to answer the question “What is this all for?”

Compati Studio is a project centered around music with the intention of spreading inspiration, determination, and compassion in a world that can be cynical, anxious, and judging. The music I write all starts with my acoustic guitar and genuine lyrics that seek to capture something true and interesting about the human experience and what it means to exist in and as a part of this universe.
